    当我给你彩色玩具时，我的孩子，我明白了为什么在云端、在水中会如此色彩斑斓，明白了为什么花儿会被上色——当我给你彩色玩具时，我的孩子。

    当我的歌唱令你翩翩起舞时，我确实明白了为什么树叶会哼着乐曲，为什么海浪将其和谐之音传到聆听着的大地心中——当我的歌唱令你翩翩起舞时。

    当我把糖果放到你贪婪的手中时，我明白了为什么花杯中会有**，为什么水果里会神秘地蕴涵着甜美的果汁——当我把糖果放到你贪婪的手中时。

    当我轻吻着你的小脸使你微笑时，我的宝贝，我确实明白了晨光中天空流淌的是怎样的欢欣，夏日微风吹拂在我身上是怎样的愉悦——当我轻吻着你的小脸使你微笑时。

    63. Old and New旧与新

    Thou hast made me known to friends whom I knew not. Thou hast given me seats in homes not my own. Thou hast brought the distant near and made a brother of the stranger.

    I am uneasy at heart when I have to leave my accustomed shelter; I forget that there abides the old in the new, and that there also thou abidest.

    Through birth and death, in this world or in others, wherever thou leadest me it is thou, the same, the one companion of my endless life who ever linkest my heart with bonds of joy to the unf***liar.

    When one knows thee, then alien there is none, then no door is shut. Oh, grant me my prayer that I may never lose the bliss of the touch of the one in the play of many.

    你让不相识的朋友认识了我。你在别人家里给我准备了座位。你使距离缩短，使陌生人成了兄弟。

    当我必须离开故居的时候，我心神不宁。我忘了是旧人迁入新居，而且你也住在那里。
