for the next five years is that my contributions will be recognized and appropriately rewarded. I realize that salary levels are based on a number of factors, including thepany's profitability and the general business cycle that affects our industry, but I expect to take on greater responsibility each year and to be appropriatelypensated for my efforts and contributions.
Q:Have you ever taken a position that didn't fit into your longterm plan?
A:Back in the late eighties, when Wall Street was booming, I was lured away with a highpaying offer in a firm that was tradingmodities on the Asian market. Even though I had success in the job, I quickly realized that the work wasn't fulfilling or challenging enough to keep me happy. So, after two years, I jumped back into the corporate world as a controller for one of the metal plants of my corporation. I've since moved up in the finance area, and my longterm plans include staying in this industry and assuming greater responsibility in the area of financial planning and control.
